What to do on a cloudy Saturday afternoon in the greater Stockholm area? That was the question that we had to answer by lunch time. The activity chosen was to visit Millesgården on the island of Lidingö just outside Stockholm. Milesgården is a art and sculpture museum and the former home of Swedish sculptor Carl Milles and his wife Olga. Originally bought and finished in 1908 it is now a wonderful museum with lots of famous sculptures at display in the garden that also overlooks one of the many inlets to Stockholm.
We mostly stayed outside with the sculptures but also visited the art gallery which had an exhibition of Josef Frank.
Here are some of my pictures from the visit.
